Work site and schedule
Facility & Location: Ketema, El Cajon, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM), Monday – Friday
Where you’ll make an impact
- Transform challenging prints into precise parts by planning sequences, selecting tooling, and setting up 3–5 axis CNC machines: lathes, mills, VTLs, and a modified dual‑head mill.
- Program adjustments and control optimization: set feeds/speeds, depth of cut, and coolant; resolve issues when automatic programming or controls misbehave (Fanuc or Mazak).
- Execute accurate fixture setups—clamping, centering, and indicating—to secure workpieces and attachments.
- Run test pieces, verify dimensions and tolerances, and refine the setup until everything conforms to spec.
- Continuously monitor gauges and indicators; perform routine machine care (coolant checks, positioning) and maintain a clean 5S work area.
- Validate quality using calipers, micrometers, and bar gauges to ensure conformance.
- Contribute to Daily Management board topics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Efficiency, and Utilization.
- Identify improvements to machining processes and throughput; support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, adherence to procedures, and a growth mindset open to feedback.
