Summary
The Cloud Solutions Architect III is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions that meet business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a mid-senior level architect, you will work on all phases of application and systems analysis with a primary focus on cloud-based solutions. With minimal supervision, you’ll play a key role in defining system scope, objectives, and requirements, conducting research, and crafting solutions that align with best practices in cloud technologies. This role demands a blend of technical acumen and strategic insight, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger team.
Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design:
- Design and implement cloud solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints for cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements.

System Analysis and Scope Definition:
- Conduct thorough research and fact-finding to define system scope and objectives.
- Analyze and recommend cloud service options, considering factors such as cost, functionality, and integration with existing systems.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for development, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Development and Programming:
- Write, test, and debug code for moderately complex cloud applications and integrations.
- Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and other software components to automate cloud deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
- Ensure code quality and documentation to maintain high standards of service delivery and compliance.

Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to validate solutions meet functional and performance requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud system issues as they arise, providing technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
- Document and implement solutions for long-term operational efficiency and stability.

Documentation and Maintenance:
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and procedures, ensuring up-to-date reference materials.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates to cloud systems, ensuring ongoing optimization and alignment with evolving business needs.

Collaboration and Guidance:
- Work collaboratively with other architects, developers, and stakeholders, fostering a team-based approach to cloud solution delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
- Stay informed on emerging cloud technologies and best practices, integrating relevant advancements into current and future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, cloud architecture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and cloud security principles.
- Proven ability to work on all phases of applications systems analysis and programming, with minimal supervision in most tasks.
Location Requirement:
The ideal candidate should reside in the Metro Atlanta, GA area. While this position is primarily remote, there may be occasional requirements to report in person as needed for team meetings or project-related tasks.
