Fabrication Material Flow Specialist (Powered Industrial Equipment)

Ready to own the flow of steel from yard to workstation?

If you thrive on pace, precision, and teamwork, imagine your first week: you master the production schedule, kit materials ahead of demand, and glide through the facility on a Hubtex Side Loader using a Vacuum Assist Lift, placing each sheet where it needs to be—exactly when it’s needed. Downtime? You crush it before it starts by spotting equipment issues early, adjusting, and keeping communication tight with every stakeholder.

Your mission

  1. Run the Hubtex Side Loader and Vacuum Assist Lift safely and efficiently to transport, store, rotate, and deliver sheet steel.
  2. Study fabrication sheets, cut plans, nesting drawings, and production schedules; kit and stage to meet takt time.
  3. Receive, store, kit, and deliver materials to fabrication work centers with zero surprises.
  4. Maintain airtight inventory accuracy—transactions, cycle counts, and verification are second nature.
  5. Capture, identify, and record reusable scrap and drop materials to boost utilization.
  6. Pull materials from storage and yard locations per schedule so production never waits.
  7. Complete daily equipment inspections; report maintenance concerns immediately.
  8. Recognize when machinery isn’t running right; troubleshoot, pinpoint issues, and adjust.
  9. Respond fast to material shortages and delivery hiccups to minimize interruptions.
  10. Execute standard processes and KPIs from BAC Excellence (BAC-X), including Global Assembly Standardization (GAS) Expectations.

How you partner

You’ll communicate across all levels—Team Leaders, Station Leaders, Material Coordinators, Supervisors, and production employees—to align priorities. You also bring the interpersonal tools to coach and motivate peers, and you’re always ready to pitch in with training and other duties assigned by leadership.
