Factory Automation Equipment Integrator

Join CelLink and be the bridge between cutting-edge automated lines and seamless production. You’ll be the first call when a tool needs attention, the collaborator who turns quick fixes into durable improvements, and the hands-on builder who makes new equipment come to life.

A day in this role

Start your day walking the floor, checking the health of roll-to-roll web handling systems. A line pauses—you diagnose a drive alignment, tweak an edge guide, and bring the system back online. Later, you open SolidWorks to adjust a bracket, wire a new cabinet per drawings, and partner with equipment and process engineers to refine throughput. By afternoon, you’re assembling a custom tool, updating a work instruction, and planning a long-term retrofit to boost reliability.

What you’ll do

  • Fabricate, modify, and assemble complex mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.
  • Build, test, and install custom manufacturing tools and equipment to specification.
  • Perform precise, drawing-driven mechanical assembly and electrical cabinet/component wiring.
  • Create and update mechanical CAD models and drawings (SolidWorks strongly preferred).
  • Machine and weld parts as needed to support upgrades and new builds.
  • Diagnose issues by integrating knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems to deliver robust fixes.
  • Partner with equipment engineers, process engineers, and production operators to maximize uptime and efficiency.
  • Assist with new-equipment construction and continuous improvements to existing assets.
  • Work hands-on with roll-to-roll web processing equipment: rollers, drives, edge guides, brakes, and steering mechanisms.

What you’ll bring

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering technology or similar (preferred).
  • 2+ years in a hands-on role such as machinist, welder, mechanic, equipment technician/engineer, or similar.
  • Background in designing, assembling, and/or maintaining automated manufacturing equipment (strongly preferred).
  • Independent problem-solver with a growth mindset and appetite for developing new technology.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and comfortable shifting priorities in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Clear communicator with strong work ethic; thrives in collaborative teams.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred); capable of reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to create/modify mechanical models, assemblies, drawings, and technical work instructions.
  • Skilled and safe with hand and machine tools; maintains a clean, orderly workspace.

Nice-to-have experience

  • Lean manufacturing exposure and familiarity with typical manufacturing equipment materials and construction methods.
  • Basic PLC concepts and device configuration software.
  • Statistical process control concepts.
  • Electrical schematics knowledge and electrical cabinet wiring experience.
  • Experience with assembly/maintenance of roll-to-roll manufacturing equipment.

Work setting

  • Hybrid of office and shop environments.
  • Office: minimal noise/exposure.
  • Shop: higher noise from operating machinery, moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and potential skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.
  • PPE may include safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, and clean-room frocks per procedure.

Core proficiencies

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Electrical Installation
  • Mechanical Testing
  • Mechanical Assembly Skills
  • Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
  • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
