About the role
Nexus Employment is hiring Quality Assurance Line Inspectors to support a growing food manufacturing partner in Portage, IN. We have immediate openings across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift for reliable, detail-focused team members.
Compensation & schedule
- Pay: $17–$18 per hour
- Status: Full-time
- Pay cadence: Weekly
- Shifts: Immediate openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
What you’ll do
- Inspect food products, ingredients, and packaging for quality and consistency
- Perform quality checks and basic testing; accurately record results
- Identify and report defects promptly to the appropriate team members
- Follow GMPs and all safety standards at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
What you bring
- Experience in production or quality inspection (preferred)
- Comfort standing for 8+ hours
- Basic to intermediate math skills for measurements and counts
- Reliable, self-motivated, and collaborative work style
