A day in the life

It’s 7:00 a.m. in Terrell, TX, 75160. You walk the plant floor, eyes on conduit runs and control panels, ears tuned for anything out of the ordinary. Before production ramps up, you verify that key electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently. When an alert comes in, you diagnose the issue, isolate the fault, and return the line to service with minimal disruption. Along the way, you log your work, coach an apprentice through a safe lockout/tagout, and coordinate with maintenance teammates to keep equipment humming.

What you’ll take on

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems in an industrial environment.
• Perform routine inspections and testing to confirm compliance with safety standards and codes.
• Diagnose problems quickly and implement effective fixes to reduce downtime.
• Partner with maintenance and operations to optimize equipment performance and prevent recurring issues.
• Accurately document maintenance and repair activities for reliable record keeping.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations while performing electrical work.
• Support and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on best practices.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship is preferred.
• Current Texas electrician license or recognized certification.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical work with a solid grasp of electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Sharp troubleshooting ability and strong attention to detail.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively on a team.
• Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
