A night on the team
As a Trumpf press brake expert on our third shift, you’ll turn digital programs into precisely formed steel, aluminum, galvanized, and copper parts. You’ll interpret 2D/3D drawings, set up tooling, and run offline programs to bend components exactly to spec. Alongside your Group Lead/Supervisor, you will maintain quality, document work in our manufacturing systems, and keep equipment in top condition.
Schedule & pay
- Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00 PM – 7:30AM (ET)
- Hourly rate: $24.79 + $1.50 shift differential
- Note: Initial training will occur on 1st shift at the manager’s discretion before moving to 3rd shift.
What you’ll do
- Operate a Trumpf Press Brake and perform setups to form sheet metal per engineering drawings and ISO/working standards.
- Load, set up, and execute offline bend programs; select and change press brake tooling as needed.
- Collaborate directly with a Group Lead and/or Supervisor to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
- Read and apply 2D/3D blueprints; calculate bend allowances/deductions and required tonnage for various parts.
- Confirm work in our manufacturing data systems and use digital documentation (Quality/Safety docs, Operating Instructions, Production sequences, Part Drawings).
- Clean and maintain your work area and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
What you’ll bring
- 1+ year of hands-on press brake setup and operation experience, including tooling selection/changes.
- Expertise in flat pattern layout, bend deductions/allowances, and tonnage calculations.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently during forming.
- Fluency with shop math, digital tools, and basic mechanical/measuring instruments; strong blueprint reading (2D/3D).
- Ability to communicate in English; able to work on your feet for the shift and to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
- Capacity to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide material.
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
