Automotive Bodywork & Trim Technician (Fleet)

Ready to restore, refit, and return a fleet to service?

Join our 1st Shift team and put your hands-on bodywork skills to work on multi-vehicle projects under the guidance of our Maintenance Supervisor.

Your Impact

  • Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels
  • Swap out and seal glass components
  • Repair/replace exterior mirrors
  • Perform fiberglass and bondo repairs
  • Apply and remove decals inside and out
  • Install, repair, and replace driver/passenger seat inserts and cushions
  • Service bike racks and mounting brackets (remove, repair, replace)
  • Pitch in with mechanics whenever needed

Bring This Toolkit

  • Your own complete mechanic’s tool set (special tools not required)
  • Wrenches and sockets through 1¼ inch
  • Metric tools up to 20 mm

Reporting & Schedule

  • Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
  • Shift: 1st Shift

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean five (5) year driving record submitted at application
  • Michigan Chauffeur-based “BP” CDL Temporary Instruction Permit (T.I.P.) in hand before hire
  • Michigan Group B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements within 90 days of hire
  • Documented experience in body repair (light or heavy)
  • Fork Lift Driving Certificate on file within 90 days of employment

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Comfort with constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and twisting
  • Strong hand/arm control for tool operation, grasping, pushing, and pulling
  • Fine motor skills for small parts and controls
