Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated CDL Class A / Yard Switcher to join our transportation and logistics team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks within a yard environment to efficiently load, unload, and position freight for delivery or further transport.

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions in yard and route driving environments
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks
• Switch trailers between dock doors and yard locations to facilitate efficient freight handling
• Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Assist with route driving when necessary, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight movements, and vehicle maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working environment
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate freight movement and optimize yard operations

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
• Experience 1-2 Years Min
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Start time is 7 to 9pm
