Mid-Level System Administrator (HPC)

Help keep the systems behind High Performance Computing (HPC) ready for everyday use. Working with Linux across multi-vendor servers, clusters, and specialized processing platforms, you’ll combine operating-system administration with troubleshooting and automation to support reliable infrastructure.
What your work will involve
- Operating-system configuration and upkeep. Maintain the software foundation of complex computing environments.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting. Trace issues through the systems involved, and support the networking and file systems that connect them.
- Automation of routine administration. Use Bash, Salt, and Ansible to make recurring tasks more consistent.
You can bring familiarity with RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu, together with knowledge of HPC architecture, high-speed networking, TCP/IP, and enterprise support environments. If you like understanding how individual systems contribute to a larger environment, this role gives you opportunities to put that curiosity into practice.
Experience and education
This role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, or 10 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
