Industrial Maintenance Technician — Food Manufacturing
Location: Portage, IN
Compensation: $33–$38 per hour (weekly pay)
Schedule Options: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

You diagnose, repair, document, and get production moving again—safely and efficiently. That’s a typical day for our Industrial Maintenance Technicians supporting a clean, fast-paced food manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production machinery to minimize downtime
- Fine-tune equipment for optimal throughput and quality
- Accurately log downtime events and root causes
- Replace/repair components and parts as required
- Set up production lines to spec for changeovers
- Respond rapidly to calls to support on-time schedules
- Join maintenance and equipment training to sharpen skills
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
What you bring
- 1–2 years of maintenance mechanic experience preferred
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proven ability to independently diagnose and fix equipment issues
- Comfort using manual and pneumatic hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and reach above shoulder height
- Clear, organized communicator and team contributor
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant certifications are a plus
