Dental CAD/CAM Designer

The Dental CAD Designer is responsible for utilizing advanced design software to fabricate highly accurate, patient-specific dental restorations and prosthetics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prosthetic Design: Draft and develop precise, custom dental restorations using CAD software and 3D printing technologies tailored to individual patient anatomy.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Partner with dentists, oral surgeons, and lab technicians to review case requirements, align designs with clinical goals, and implement feedback.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain strict compliance with dental industry regulations, follow quality benchmarks, and document the design workflow for safety and efficacy.
  • Technical Innovation: Stay current on evolving dental technologies and materials while mastering software like 3Shape, ExoCad, CoDiagnostix, and Meshmixer.
  • Production Workflow: Manage daily workloads to meet laboratory deadlines and proactively report software or hardware issues to Team Leads and the CAD/CAM Manager.
  • Station Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized digital and physical workspace in compliance with standard laboratory safety protocols.
  • General Support: Complete additional lab duties and collaborative tasks as requested by management.
Position Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years working as a CAD/CAM technician inside a dental laboratory setting.
  • Specialized Skillset: Hands-on experience with complex full-arch restoration designs is strictly required.
  • Software Expertise: Proficiency with 3Shape, Exocad, Meshmixer, and standard desktop lab scanners.
  • IT Literacy: Strong digital troubleshooting skills alongside familiarity with daily tools like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation is highly valued.
