Production Line Superintendent – Converting

Imagine your first week

You join a team that believes safety is non‑negotiable and quality is a habit. You quickly get to know your operators, set shared goals, and use daily Gemba walks to spot improvement opportunities. By the end of the week, you’ve led a root-cause review on a near-miss, tightened compliance to procedures, and launched targeted training that helps the shift hit plan with confidence.

Role purpose

Lead a converting production shift to deliver safe operations, on-spec quality, and reliable output while developing people and strengthening processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to shift employees.
• Drive a safety-first mindset through audits, compliance, incident reporting, and near-miss investigations.
• Ensure all quality specifications are met and standard procedures are followed.
• Train and upskill team members on company procedures emphasizing safety, quality, and production targets.
• Collaborate with HR on payroll, staffing, and personnel/labor matters.
• Communicate clearly with peer leaders to ensure seamless shift changeovers.

What you’ll need

• Bilingual English/Spanish capability.
• At least 5 years of successful production supervision; manufacturing background preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort picking up new systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Relationship builder across hourly teams, management, and peers.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs (and occasionally more) and to stand/move routinely throughout the facility.

Preferred credentials

• Bachelor’s degree
• Six Sigma certification

Compensation and schedule

• Compensation: $70,000–$89,000
• Hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm
• Pattern: 2-2-3 schedule
