Press Brake Operator

**SUMMARY

**:

The **Press Brake Operator II **uses brakes, sheer, spot-welder, PEM insert machine, and a roller.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

**

• Understand jobs, tags, storage, and electronical logging.
• Read and interpret most blueprints.
• Understands all pieces of equipment in press area including presses, insertion equipment, finishing equipment, insertion equipment, and spot-welding equipment.
• Run any programmed job, correctly inspect the first part, and set up the job.
• Establish inspection and basic tooling from the tooling list.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

**

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Vocational or Trade School preferred
• 3 to 5 years of Brake press experience preferred
• Forklift certification required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

**:

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to work with others to complete tasks or work individually.
• Proficient reading skills for tape measures, caliper, and other measuring tools

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS

**:

• Lift, carry, push, and or pull 1- 50 lbs. frequently.
• Regularly sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing

**WORK ENVIRONMENT

**

• Normal work hours with occasional optional as well as mandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines
• Normal office and manufacturing plant environment which may include exposure to dust, industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
• The working environment will extend to both hot and cold conditions
