The Injection Mold Specialist is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on molding presses. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe, reliable manufacturing environment.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on molding presses and related equipment.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues to meet molding requirements
Dismantle, repair, rebuild, and reassemble equipment; test for proper functionality.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
Perform mold changes, remove/install molds per production schedules, and transport molds to the Toolroom for repair.
Clean screws, nozzles, tie bars, ways, and drop areas to prevent grease/oil‑related defects.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards; perform general housekeeping duties.
Perform additional duties as assigned when primary work is not available.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some vocational or community college coursework in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Mechanically inclined with strong problem‑solving abilities.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate documentation.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
