Injection Mold Specialist

Position Summary

The Injection Mold Specialist is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on molding presses. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe, reliable manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on molding presses and related equipment.

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues to meet molding requirements

  • Dismantle, repair, rebuild, and reassemble equipment; test for proper functionality.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

  • Perform mold changes, remove/install molds per production schedules, and transport molds to the Toolroom for repair.

  • Clean screws, nozzles, tie bars, ways, and drop areas to prevent grease/oil‑related defects.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards; perform general housekeeping duties.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned when primary work is not available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Some vocational or community college coursework in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem‑solving abilities.

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.

  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
