L&W Recruiting, on behalf of a well‑established Mid‑Atlantic law firm, seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Litigation Defense and Business Law practice in Allentown, PA. This opportunity is suited to an attorney with 2–6+ years of insurance defense experience who can manage an independent caseload while contributing to a collaborative, growth‑oriented team. Key responsibilities
- Manage a full docket of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other court filings with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and coordinate with experts as needed.
- Appear for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials as required; advocate effectively in court.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and internal team members regarding case status and strategy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop litigation strategy and contribute to firm objectives; participate in mentoring and professional development where applicable.
Required qualifications
- 2–6+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation or related civil litigation practice.
- Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated litigation skills, including motion practice, deposition experience, and courtroom exposure.
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication, organization, and client‑management skills.
