A Day in This Role
You start your day scanning overnight inquiries—some from long-time customers, others from new projects needing fast turnarounds. You respond by phone and email with clear pricing, availability, and shipping options. Throughout the day, you’re the conductor: coordinating with Sales, Credit, Inventory Control, Warehousing, and the Fabrication Shop to move each order forward smoothly.
When an order-entry or shipping discrepancy pops up, you take ownership—investigating the cause, looping in the right teams, and closing the loop with the customer. You work to minimize the number of shipments, control costs, and still hit delivery commitments. You leverage your understanding of our products and services to streamline the order process and identify add-on opportunities and promotions that benefit the customer.
You keep customers updated, nurture relationships with both customers and suppliers, and log progress. You’ll complete training milestones, demonstrate competence, and jump in on other duties as needed to support the team’s success.
