HVAC Field Service Specialist (Residential/Light Commercial)

A day in the life

You start your morning with a quick team huddle and training touchpoint, then roll out in a clean, organized, well-stocked truck. Your schedule takes you across the Denver–Boulder corridor where you diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of HVAC systems. You build rapport with homeowners and small business owners, explain options clearly, and recommend the right service to solve the problem. Between calls, you keep your job sites tidy, document work thoroughly (ServiceTitan familiarity is a plus), and prepare for the next challenge. You wrap the day by updating notes and planning for tomorrow’s appointments.

What you’ll take on

  • Hands-on maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and systems
  • Creating trust with customers and presenting accurate, appropriate service solutions
  • Keeping your truck and each job site clean, orderly, and safe
  • Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and company events

What sets you up for success

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and common installation practices
  • Boiler experience preferred (not required)
  • Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Safety, environment, and physical demands

  • Safety is priority one; general knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA requirements is expected
  • Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, stooping, using hands to operate controls, hearing, and speaking
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in hot/cold conditions, and navigate tight crawl spaces
  • Routinely lift and/or move 50+ lbs
  • Outdoor work throughout the seasons; conditions vary with weather and scope of work

Compensation & benefits

Earning potential is uncapped, with technicians able to make approximately $100,000–$150,000 per year. Additional incentive pay may be available as part of the overall compensation package. Depending on the role offered, a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits may also be provided.
