Attorney

L&W Recruiting, on behalf of a well‑established Mid‑Atlantic law firm, seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Litigation Defense Practice in Lancaster, PA. This role is suitable for an attorney able to manage a docket independently while contributing to a collaborative team and pursuing a partnership track.

• Key responsibilities: Manage insurance defense matters from intake through resolution; draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court filings; take and defend depositions; represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials; develop case strategy; maintain organized files and calendars; communicate with clients, carriers, co‑counsel, and courts; mentor junior attorneys.
• Required qualifications: 2–6+ years insurance defense or related civil litigation experience; active Pennsylvania license; demonstrated motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experience; strong written/verbal communication and case‑management skills.
• Preferred: Experience with coverage or complex defense matters; trial preparation and settlement negotiation experience; familiarity with e‑filing and case management systems; interest in professional development and partnership.
