Production Team Leader

Ready to Take the Next Step in Your Leadership Career?

We're Hiring a Sr. Team Lead – 3rd Shift!

Are you someone who naturally steps up, takes initiative, and brings out the best in others? Are you ready for an opportunity to lead, make an impact, and develop your career in manufacturing?

We're looking for an energetic, people-focused Sr. Team Lead to help lead our 3rd shift production team!

This is more than a traditional Team Lead position. You'll serve as the right hand to our Production Supervisor and the second-in-command for the shift. When the Supervisor is away, you'll take the lead, keep operations moving, support the team, and ensure we deliver results.

Even better, this position is designed for someone who wants to grow. You'll gain hands-on leadership experience, develop your decision-making skills, and have the opportunity to prepare for a future Production Supervisor role.

What You'll Do

You'll be an important part of our leadership team, helping create an environment where people are engaged, production runs smoothly, and everyone is working toward shared goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Team: Provide direction, support, and motivation to production employees. Set expectations, lead by example, and create a positive team environment.

  • Take Charge: Step in to lead the shift when the Production Supervisor is absent, making decisions and keeping the team focused on priorities.

  • Drive Results: Monitor production, quality, safety, staffing, and efficiency to ensure shift goals are achieved.

  • Engage Employees: Build relationships, recognize great work, coach employees, and address concerns with professionalism and fairness.

  • Solve Problems: Take initiative to identify challenges, find solutions, and work with Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to keep production moving.

  • Communicate: Ensure effective communication between shifts and departments so issues are addressed and nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Make Things Better: Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and strengthen team performance.

  • Develop Others: Support employee training, cross-training, and development while helping build a stronger, more capable team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for more than someone who knows manufacturing. We want someone who knows how to lead people.

The right person will be:

  • A Self-Starter: You see what needs to be done and take action. You don't wait for someone else to tell you.

  • A People Person: You enjoy working with people, building relationships, and helping others succeed.

  • Positive & Engaging: You bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the workplace. People enjoy working with you.

  • A Natural Leader: You're comfortable taking charge, providing direction, and holding yourself and others accountable.

  • A Problem Solver: You stay calm under pressure, think through challenges, and focus on solutions rather than excuses.

  • Results Driven: You take ownership, follow through, and get things done.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous manufacturing experience; plastic injection molding experience is a plus.

  • Previous leadership, Team Lead, or mentoring experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to motivate, influence, and engage others.

  • Good judgment and the confidence to make decisions.

  • A strong sense of accountability, initiative, and dependability.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation.

  • Availability to work 3rd shift.

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

This position offers an opportunity to take your career to the next level!

  • Leadership Experience: Gain real-world experience leading a production team and managing shift operations.

  • Career Advancement: Develop the skills and experience needed to pursue future Production Supervisor opportunities.

  • Make an Impact: Have a direct influence on employee engagement, production performance, and the success of the team.

  • Expand Your Skills: Learn more about production metrics, employee development, problem-solving, and operational management.
