Imagine stepping onto the floor at 2:30 p.m., rallying your team, and guiding production through a smooth, on-spec run. You spot a potential hazard and address it immediately, coach an operator through a changeover, verify the product sampling schedule, and document results before handing off a clean, efficient operation at 11:30 p.m. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, you could be our next Plant Floor Supervisor.
The opportunity
- Steward safety, quality, and output on 2nd shift while reporting to the Production Manager.
- Directly supervise and train hourly employees; cross-train for flexibility and resilience.
- Meet wired plant compliance metrics and standard production efficiencies across all lines.
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance to troubleshoot process/mechanical issues and perform quick, efficient changeovers.
Schedule & expectations
- 2nd Shift Schedule: hours are typically 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with occasional weekends.
- Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and other shifts/weekends as required.
What you'll be responsible for
- Modeling PPE compliance and maintaining a safe workplace; enforcing proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Immediately communicating unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Manager.
- Ensuring products meet quality specifications and that the product sampling schedule is followed.
- Allocating labor and resources daily to accomplish the plan and keep efficiencies on target.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards that meet or exceed facility expectations.
- Supporting the Preventive Maintenance program as needed.
- Completing accurate shift production and reporting paperwork.
- Training all team members on safety, quality, and job functions; pursuing your own development via company training programs.
Your background
- Mechanical troubleshooting and basic repair abilities.
- Strong leadership with supervision/training and motivational skills.
- Confident decision-maker and problem-solver with clear communication at all levels.
- Basic computer skills; manufacturing savvy—extrusion experience is a plus.
Minimums & nice-to-haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 1–2 years as a line operator or related role; supervisory training or related experience.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
Physical capability
- Stand and remain mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
- Perform physical labor for extended periods in temperature extremes.
- Use hands, arms, and legs to handle/transport finished goods.
- Full range of motion: twist, bend, reach, squat, and mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles.

Pay Range: $28-$38/hour, non-exempt with overtime.
