A growing Winston-Salem company is looking for a warehouse worker/delivery driver's assistant to help unload boxes from trucks and checking in all delivered products.
Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Team player.
Able to maintain a fast pace.
Must be willing to go out of town 2-3 nights a week. (Company will pay for you.)
Able to lift and load.
The purpose of this position is to assist the driver in completing delivery routes by unloading and checking in all delivered products.
Must have steel toe shoes.
Duties:
Every order gets checked in Case by Case, no exceptions (complete pallet must be counted Layer by Layer due to different layering by companies).
Assist driver with the directions to back in to the store if necessary.
Make sure receiver opens back door or gate to building.
Lower lift gate, unfold gate, raise door.
Prepare to unload the grocery items to the lift gate, either by hand truck or on the pallet.
Lower lift gate and begin to transport product inside along with the driver.
Close gate on trailer and lock.
Unload Pallet Jack, plug in electric Pallet Jack, lock up hand trucks and manual Pallet Jacks to the electric Pallet Jack.
