Product Marketing Manager

About the Role

A fast-growing, seed-stage AI/ML startup focused on AI-powered solutions for mechanical engineering — including CAD, CAE, and PLM workflows — is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own go-to-market strategy and launch execution. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of product, sales, and market insights, driving adoption and revenue for cutting-edge AI agent technology used by hardware engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with company business goals and growth targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in the AI/ML and engineering software space.
  • Define and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, platform features, and releases.
  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead product launch planning and promotional activities to maximize adoption.
  • Translate complex technical features — including AI agent capabilities — into clear, compelling customer benefits and messaging.
  • Use analytics and performance metrics to inform strategy and continuously optimize campaigns.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of product marketing experience with a strong track record in go-to-market planning and execution.
  • Ability to develop product messaging, positioning, and GTM strategies for AI/ML and B2B software products.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, sales, and engineering teams to plan and execute launches and campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis to inform GTM strategy.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without company visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, measurement, and KPI tracking.
  • Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).
  • Domain knowledge in AI/ML or AI-driven technologies.
  • Background in engineering software, industrial tech, or B2B SaaS.
  • Advanced degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
  • Equity participation typical for an early-stage startup.
  • Opportunity to be a foundational member of a high-growth technical team.

Location

This role is on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Candidates must be willing and able to work in-office full time. No visa sponsorship is available.
