Shape the flow of a 24/7 operation
Step onto the production floor of a world leader in energy and telecom cable systems. At Prysmian Group, our teams manufacture thousands of miles of cable and connectivity each year—powering cities, linking continents, and carrying the world’s data. With 30,000 colleagues across 50+ countries, you’ll belong to a global community that turns infrastructure into impact.
As the Fiber Optic Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you own the performance of one of four rotating crews that keep our fiber‑optic cable operation running around the clock. When your 12‑hour shift begins (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am), you take the handoff, confirm safety readiness, align Team Leaders on priorities, and ensure people, materials, and processes are in place to deliver quality product safely and on time.
A day in the life
You start by reviewing the production plan, open MRR items, and carryover actions from the prior shift. You walk the floor with Team Leaders, verify standards at each process area, and rebalance staffing to match changing demand. Throughout the shift, you make in‑process quality decisions against our Quality Management System, coach Team Leaders, and clear blockers so the line keeps moving. If an incident occurs, you lead the response, coordinate evacuation as needed, and drive root‑cause investigation and corrective action. Before handing off, you compile a thorough turnover report so the next crew launches with clarity.
