Service Technician

Aegis is partnered with a growing manufacturer of custom machinery and automation systems focused on modernizing industrial manufacturing. Their equipment includes sheet metal processing systems, flat bar conversion machinery, and custom engineered automation. This is a smaller, family-oriented organization offering a hands-on environment and significant growth opportunity.

They are seeking a Service Technician based in Texas to support customers with equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service. This is a travel-heavy role, primarily supporting customers in El Paso and Brenham, with candidates near Houston or Austin preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Install, set up, commission, and troubleshoot industrial machinery
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and controls-related issues
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
• Perform acceptance testing and train customers on new equipment
• Provide technical support both onsite and over the phone
• Work directly with customers and the factory to resolve equipment issues

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Service Technician or industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
• Experience installing or commissioning industrial equipment
• PLC/controls diagnostic experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 80%
