Is this you?

  • Do you see a large stamping press as a system to be tuned for speed, quality, and safety?
  • Can you set complex progressive, draw, and form dies with confidence—and teach others to do the same?
  • Do you thrive on solving press or die problems fast to keep production moving?

If so, you’ll be right at home launching production runs that hit spec the first time and mentoring operators who are eager to learn.

  • Prepare to Launch: Stage materials and components so the line starts on schedule.
  • Set & Verify: Install and align complex tooling on large presses; adjust feeds and shut heights; complete first-article checks.
  • Measure & Inspect: Use calipers and micrometers to validate critical dimensions; audit incoming materials and finished parts; label accurately.
  • Fix at the Source: Lead root-cause analysis for die or press issues; coordinate repairs with toolroom and maintenance.
  • Standardize the Win: Capture detailed set-up notes; input production and quality data into the company system for reliable repeatability.
  • Lift Others: Train Level I and II set-up operators; share safety-first habits and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Own the Environment: Perform routine mechanical maintenance; keep the area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Improve Relentlessly: Recommend changes that elevate efficiency, quality, and safety—and take on related duties as assigned.
