Position Overview:
Looking to join the world leader in custom automation for the woodworking and related industries? This exciting position provides an outstanding individual the opportunity to mechanically design a wide array of custom automation. You will be challenged and rewarded on a daily basis!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design automated machines, often one of a kind
- Specify components including: Motors, gearboxes, other power transmission, air cylinders, valving, vacuum, sensors, etc.
- Build bill of materials
- Machine design in Solidworks
- Support in house manufacturing, testing and customer runoff
- Interaction with customers throughout the design, build and runoff processes
Qualifications:
- BSME or associate degree in related field
- Solidworks
- AutoCAD
- Project management
- Creativity and problem solving skills
- Very high mechanical aptitude
