Join a High-Volume Manufacturing Team in Portage
Picture your day starting on a bustling production floor in Portage, IN. You review the batch record, stage ingredients, verify weights, and bring precise formulas to life—sometimes on heated systems, other times on ambient lines. You’ll cook, blend, and prepare each batch so it’s ready for downstream production, all while keeping equipment clean, sanitized, and running smoothly.
Employer: Nexus Employment (onsite with a growing manufacturing partner)
- Location: Portage, IN 46368
- Schedule: Full-Time; 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts available
- Pay: $19.50–$20.50 per hour (based on experience) | Weekly pay
What You’ll Handle
- Gather, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch recipes
- Cook and prepare finished batches for production use
- Read and follow batch records and production instructions
- Operate batching systems (heated & non-heated)
- Clean and sanitize batching equipment
- Perform basic preventative maintenance
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
What Helps You Succeed
- Manufacturing or batch mixing experience (preferred, not required)
- Basic computer skills; PLC familiarity is a plus
- Comfort with intermediate math
- Clear, dependable communication
- Self-starter who works well independently and with a team
