Materials Flow & Inventory Technician

Role Overview

As a Materials Flow & Inventory Technician, you’ll keep production moving by receiving, staging, and issuing components that feed our Packaging Lines. You will coordinate material movement across the warehouse, execute accurate transactions in ERP Lx using RF units, and operate key equipment to load, unload, and ship product safely and efficiently.

A Day in the Life

You start by reviewing shop order pick tickets and using your RF unit to locate components. You navigate the aisles with a Sit-Down Forklift or the Hi-Racker (Turret) to retrieve items, then stage and issue them to active shop orders in ERP Lx. Midday, you unload incoming trucks, receive materials, and operate the Palletizer to support Packaging Lines. Before shift end, you prepare outbound shipments, update system transactions, and contribute ideas to continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Load and unload trucks; receive, store, and retrieve materials with precision.
  • Pull components according to shop order pick tickets to support Packaging Lines.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including Sit-Down Forklift and Hi-Racker (Turret).
  • Run the Palletizer and use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Execute accurate material movements in ERP Lx with RF devices; issue to shop orders.
  • Prepare outbound shipments and coordinate pickups.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in all warehouse operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Forklift Driver with at least 1 year of experience operating Powered Industrial Equipment (required).
  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment preferred.
  • Warehouse Management System exposure preferred (ERP Lx experience a plus).
  • Strong reading and math skills; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented team player with solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable with computers, including MS Outlook and Excel, and web-based applications.

Schedule & Pay

  • WE Shift: Saturday/Sunday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. plus Wednesday/Thursday 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
  • Compensation: $18.50 per hour, plus $2.25 weekend shift differential.
