Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Designer III to support engineering and project teams in developing custom mechanical designs and detailed drawings. This role is responsible for creating new designs, modifying existing drawings, and converting 2D drawings into accurate 3D models.
This is a hands-on design role working closely with engineering and project management teams to support project execution from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software
- Convert 2D drawings into 3D models and update legacy designs
- Modify and maintain existing drawings to meet project requirements
- Utilize AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Vault for design and documentation
- Analyze drawings and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to define design requirements and timelines
- Review and check drawings for quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards
- Support preparation of project scopes, estimates, and technical documentation
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or CAD design
Strong experience with:- AutoCAD
- Autodesk Inventor
- Autodesk Vault
Experience creating and modifying 3D models and technical drawings
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sheet metal or piping design
- Exposure to Autodesk iLogic (or willingness to learn)
- Associate’s degree in Drafting/CAD or related field (preferred but not required)

- Fully onsite role in Clearwater, FL
- Collaborative, project-based engineering environment
- Fast-paced setting requiring attention to detail and accuracy
