Founders' Associate / Chief of Staff

About the Role

A fast-growing AI-powered energy intelligence startup in the B2B SaaS space is looking for a Founders' Associate / Chief of Staff to work directly with the founding team. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of enterprise sales, strategy, and operations — focused on building and scaling go-to-market motion for energy-intensive industrial customers across the DACH region.

You'll be a trusted extension of the founders: owning pipeline, running outbound, leading special projects, and helping shape the direction of the company. This role is ideal for someone with strong startup grit, proven outbound sales chops, and a genuine interest in energy markets.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain a strong enterprise sales pipeline across the DACH region in close partnership with the founders.
  • Execute outbound prospecting — cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach — with tailored, insight-driven messaging.
  • Continuously refine ICP, targeting strategy, and value propositions based on market and prospect feedback.
  • Create high-quality sales enablement materials including decks, one-pagers, follow-ups, and business cases.
  • Join discovery calls to surface customer insights and translate them into sharper positioning and messaging.
  • Support investor relations, including preparing updates, reports, and key strategic materials.
  • Lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives end-to-end — market research, partnerships, internal process improvements.
  • Contribute to marketing content and event preparation (newsletters, social media, messaging).
  • Rapidly develop deep knowledge of energy markets and the product to drive improvements across sales and product.
  • Operate autonomously in ambiguous environments and iterate continuously on processes.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise sales, outbound demand generation, or top-of-funnel pipeline building — specifically in the DACH region.
  • Proven track record of owning projects end-to-end in a startup or early-stage environment.
  • Experience supporting or working directly alongside a founding team on strategic and operational topics.
  • Strong outbound skills: cold outreach, pipeline management, discovery calls.
  • Ability to create compelling sales enablement materials and adapt messaging based on feedback.
  • Proficiency with tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Notion, and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of energy markets — or a demonstrable ability to learn them quickly.
  • German language fluency (essential for DACH-focused outbound and customer interactions).
  • Based in Munich, able to work on-site approximately 4 days per week.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in energy sector partnerships or procurement contexts.
  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $60,000 – $90,000 USD annually
  • Direct exposure to founding team and strategic decision-making from day one

Location

  • Primary location: Munich, Germany (on-site, ~4 days/week)
  • This is an on-site role — remote-only candidates are not a fit
