EPJ Order Picker – Distribution Center Operations

Protective Industrial Products (PIP) | Olive Branch, MS

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:45 PM)

Compensation: $17.00/hour | Overtime: $25.50/hour (as needed based on business demand)

A day in the life

You clock in at 6:00 AM, grab your RF scanner, and complete a quick inspection of your Electric Pallet Jack. With a clear pick list in hand, you glide through aisles, selecting products accurately and moving freight to staging with efficiency and care. Throughout the day, you keep your area organized, verify inventory accuracy, and flag any discrepancies you spot. You wrap up with a safety check on your EPJ, tidy your zone, and feel great about the orders you helped ship on time.

What you’ll do

• Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) confidently and safely throughout the distribution center
• Use RF Scan Guns to pick customer orders with speed and precision
• Handle order picking, staging, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
• Keep inventory organized and accurate; report damages or count variances
• Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and basic safety checks
• Follow SOPs and warehouse safety standards; maintain a clean, hazard-free area
• Contribute to team goals while working independently and staying productive

What you bring

Required

• 1+ year in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Recent, hands-on Electric Pallet Jack experience
• Comfort using RF scan equipment
• Background in picking, packing, shipping, and receiving
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; self-directed work style
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting

Preferred

• Current or prior EPJ certification
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• Experience in a modern distribution center

Physical requirements

• Lift up to 30 lbs regularly
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and carry frequently for the full shift
• Work comfortably in a warehouse environment for the duration of the shift
• Perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently

Employment Requirements

• Full-time attendance and reliability are required.
• Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must provide proof of current valid U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or U.S. Person eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
• Reliable transportation to Olive Branch, MS is required.
