Chief of Staff

About the Role

A fast-growing, seed-funded AI infrastructure company is hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founding team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at an applied research lab building the memory and retrieval layer for the next generation of AI applications. Their open-source models have tens of millions of downloads and their enterprise search API supports retrieval across 100+ languages and multiple modalities.

You'll operate across strategy, operations, GTM, and finance — serving as a force multiplier for the founders in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly alongside the founders on strategic priorities, operational execution, and cross-functional coordination
  • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable roadmaps and drive initiatives to completion
  • Support GTM efforts including pipeline tracking, customer engagement coordination, and go-to-market planning
  • Own financial operations support including budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards, track KPIs, and surface data-driven insights for executive decision-making
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with clear timelines and prioritization
  • Synthesize complex topics into clear, concise communications for executive and external audiences
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders to keep initiatives on track

  • Proven ability to operate across strategy, operations, GTM, and finance with strong cross-functional collaboration

  • Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Data-driven mindset with experience building dashboards and tracking metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complexity for senior audiences
  • Comfortable thriving in high-ambiguity, rapidly changing environments
  • US work authorization (visa sponsorship available)

Nice to Have:

  • Interest or experience in AI research, open-source software, or enterprise search/retrieval technologies
  • Familiarity with AI/ML research environments or enterprise SaaS products
