What will you work on?
- Independently plan and complete maintenance projects across our facility.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical/electrical issues where they happen—on the floor, on the line, and in the field.
- Service and repair diesel engines powering transportation equipment, large forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
- Run ramp-up, setup, and start procedures so machines are production-ready.
- Team up with Industrial Engineers on installations and upgrades.
- Capture and update technical documentation and process changes.
- Mentor junior technicians and share best practices.
- Deliver preventive and corrective maintenance wherever it’s needed.
What do you bring?
- Technical/vocational training or equivalent hands-on background.
- 3–5 years maintaining heavy equipment.
- Fluency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Bonus: experience with Deutz diesel engines.
- Comfort tackling non-routine problems with minimal supervision.
- Skill with documentation and continuous improvement methods.
- Strong communicator and collaborator in moderately complex environments.

Work setting and physical expectations
- Frequent walking; reaching; stooping; kneeling; crouching; crawling.
- Frequent climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders; frequent work on elevated platforms.
- Regular overhead work; occasional lifts/moves up to 40 lbs.
- Visual requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.

Compensation, location, and what’s in it for you
Based in Sacramento, CA, at our world-class train manufacturing facility—home of Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock Division, North America’s leader in passenger locomotives, coaches, and light rail vehicles.
Starting salary: $70,584 to $90,000 per year, plus 10% second-shift differential. Actual pay depends on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
