Your weekend, engineered for precision
Picture this: It’s Friday at 6:00 AM. You power up a Hanwha Swiss lathe, review the traveler and blueprint, load bar stock, touch off tools, and dial in offsets. A first-article part is on your bench minutes later—checked against AQL with calipers, micrometers, and a Keyence. You deburr critical edges, verify dimensions on the optical comparator and Micro-Vu, and sign off the setup in our Visual Labor Entry system so production can flow. Before lunch, you jump into a new implant NPI—debugging a program, streamlining a setup with fixtures and jigs, and clearing a production gap to keep delivery on track. By Sunday evening, you’ve kept quality tight, counts accurate, and your team moving forward.
What you’ll own
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-style lathes (including 20’s, 32’s, 38’s, NTY3’s; Hanwha and Hardinge) to manufacture medical instruments and implants.
- Run production to established procedures and work instructions; complete deburring and finishing as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, inspection check-sheets, and work operation sheets.
- Use precision metrology tools—calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth micrometers, height stands, optical comparator, Micro-Vu, Keyence, and vici measuring tools—to verify parts per AQL and documentation.
- Troubleshoot dimensional issues, make tool changes and machine adjustments, and approve setups completed by other operators.
- Maintain precise counts of good and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and enter data into the company database via Visual Labor Entry while monitoring work orders.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) through program debugging and setup optimization to maintain on-time delivery and quality targets.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and perform all other duties as assigned.
