As an Industrial Process Operator in our sugar refining operation, youll run production systems, verify quality through pilot-lab sampling, and keep equipment tuned for target rates and specs. Youll also drive mobile equipment, perform mechanical checks and adjustments, and collaborate with supervisors to configure the line for safe, efficient output. Hands-on problem-solver? What youll do
- Operate processing and mobile equipment to extract and crystallize sugar from sugar beets.
- Collect and analyze pilot-scale lab samples to confirm quality and process control.
- Inspect machinery, make adjustments, and troubleshoot to maintain optimal conditions.
- Align with supervisors on setup to meet processing rates and production quality standards.
- Pitch in with manual labor as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
What youll bring
- High School diploma or GED.
- English reading, writing, and speaking skills to interpret technical materials.
- Skill with common hand tools.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work BOTH day and night shifts.

Physical demands
- Regular standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, squatting/crouching/kneeling, stair and ladder climbing, and balancing.
- Lift up to 50 lbs solo; up to 100 lbs with help.
- Wear required PPE, beard and hairnets, and appropriate workwear.
Schedule and rotation
- 8:00 AM 8:00 PM (Day)
- 8:00 PM 8:00 AM (Night)
- Rotation: 7 day shifts, 7 days off, 7 night shifts, 7 days off
- You will work BOTH day and night schedules.
