CNC Press Brake Fabrication Technician
3 Day Work Week (Weekend Shift) - Full Benefits
Picture a workweek condensed into three focused days. You arrive to a clean, organized cell, review the day’s shop orders in Powell Oracle MES, and load the first program. Throughout the shift you take flat sheet and transform it into precise components that meet engineered prints and specified tolerances. You’ll work independently or alongside a small, tight-knit crew.
What you’ll do
- Produce sheet metal parts that meet all dimensions and tolerances on mechanical engineered drawings.
- Run primarily CNC press brakes with opportunities to operate CNC turret punch press/laser equipment as needed.
- Complete setups and changeovers efficiently across varied product lines and materials.
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machines to maximize uptime and part quality.
- Keep your area spotless and compliant with the Powell Quality System.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and follow all safety procedures without exception.
- Use a PC to process shop floor orders in Powell Oracle MES software and complete tasks in Microsoft Office applications.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Ability to read a tape measure and ruler, converting fractions to decimals (and back) with ease.
- Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding engineered tolerances.
- Skill using precision tools—square, protractor, and caliper.
- 2+ years programming and operating CNC press brakes and/or turret punch/laser equipment.
- Comfort lifting 40 lbs frequently and staying productive without constant supervision.
