Die Setter (3rd Shift) - New Baltimore, Michigan Contract-to-Hire position - 3rd SHIFT Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
THIRD SHIFT: 10:45pm - 7:15am Monday - Friday
Job Summary of the Die Setter (3rd Shift): Ensures mold changes are performed safely and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities of the Die Setter (3rd Shift):
Responsible for following the Daily Production Schedule; changes, priorities, and requirements
Complete the Die Setter time log daily and turn in at shifts end
Communicate with Material Handlers, Cell Technicians, and Auditors on floor changes
Ensure molds are set in presses according to setup work instructions, setup sheets, and in a timely manner
Maintain all die setting equipment (tool rack, die cart, nozzle extensions, etc.) are clean and usable at all times
Keep all machines and auxiliary equipment clean and organized
Ensure that the tool in and out log is kept current daily
All molds are stored and logged in the proper locations
Maintain appropriate set up for secondary equipment per set up procedures
Covering absences, vacations, and times when additional assistance is needed
Must attend all scheduled shift meetings
Advises Supervisor of any non-conforming issue related to your specific task
Performs all duties in accordance with corporate standards and ISO/IATF requirements
Must be able to successfully complete overhead crane and forklift training
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment while complying with company procedures regarding safety and environmental regulations
Follow company policies and procedures for the operation of forklifts, overhead cranes, and lock-out/tag-out procedures in accordance with Federal and State OSHA regulations
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of operations in the plant and quality systems

After mold set, last piece from previous run must be placed on top of the mold in location
Requirements of the Die Setter (3rd Shift):
High School Diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of two to four years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred ability to troubleshoot injection molding equipment and molds with ISHAKAWA discipline
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Analytical skills
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English
Must be able to successfully complete training and maintain a license/certification for forklift and overhead crane use along with lock-out/tag-out procedures in accordance to company policies and Federal and State OSHA regulations
Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable Federal and State OSHA regulations along with maintaining ISO and IATF requirements
