What will I work on daily?
- Layout, measure, cut, fit, and MIG weld sheet metal and structural steel components.
- Assemble large enclosure sections to tight tolerances and verify alignment and structural integrity.
- Use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to confirm critical dimensions.
What tools will I use?
- MIG welding equipment for custom fabrication work (not repetitive/high-volume production)
- Saws, drills, grinders, and other power tools
- Overhead cranes and material-handling equipment (forklift/crane experience is a plus)
What experience is required?
- 3+ years in hands-on fabrication or welding (5+ preferred)
- Strong MIG welding experience in a fabrication setting
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
- Proven ability to fabricate and measure to tolerance
- Comfort with common fabrication tools and equipment
- Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and occasional Saturdays
- Comfortable with a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement

- Standard: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Often adjusted to: 5:00 AM–4:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
Is overtime available?
Yes: Expect 20+ hours per week when fully ramped up.

- Pay: $22–$30/hour
- Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
