Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and return equipment to its normal operating condition in a timely manner.
  • Inspect equipment and identify components to be replaced while performing repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Obtain tools and equipment to perform task.
  • Maintain all quality standards.
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.
  • Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actions.
  • Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Read and edit schematic drawings.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians.
  • Perform overhead work with the aid of industrial lift equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Utilize lockout/tagout and safe maintenance practices.
  • Troubleshoot/repair relay, CNC, PLC, PC and servo driven equipment.
  • Install/troubleshoot AC/DC control and medium/low voltage power circuits.
  • Install/repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Use metal fabricating equipment such as welding machines, torches and grinders to return equipment to service or to modify existing equipment.

What we’re looking for

  • Completion of high school or equivalent.

  • Industrial Maintenance/Engineering Technology A.A.S. degree and at least 2 years industrial maintenance experience or Industrial Maintenance/Engineering Technology Diploma and at least 3 years industrial maintenance experience or at least 5 years industrial maintenance experience working with automation.

  • Minimum 2 years troubleshooting/repairing relay, CNC, PLC, PC and servo driven equipment.

  • Minimum 2 years using metal fabricating equipment such as welding machines, torches and grinders to return equipment to service or to modify existing equipment.

  • Minimum 2 years installing/repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.

  • Minimum 2 years installing/troubleshooting AC/DC control and medium/low voltage power circuits.

  • Knowledge of both DOS and Windows based operating systems.

  • Ability to use PLC for troubleshooting and minor modifications.

  • Ability to effectively use electrical instruments such as volt/ohm meter.

  • Understanding of temperature control devices and circuitry.

  • Advanced understanding of complex AC/DC electrical control circuits.

  • Ability to understand and generate wiring schematics.

  • Working knowledge of power electronic devices such as frequency drives, servo systems and SCR’s.

  • Attendance on the job is essential.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
