Core impact
- Rapidly troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on manufacturing assets.
- Install, service, and repair plant machinery, building systems, and services; maintain spare-parts storage and inventory.
- Interpret and apply schematics, prints, and technical drawings to repairs and installations.
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test machinery for reliable operation.
- Start up and shut down plant utilities (generator, air compressor, cooling tower, chiller), including emergency procedures.
- Swap out defective electrical components (switches, sockets, and related devices).
- Perform rigging and lifting according to best practices.
- Apply intermediate machine shop capabilities when needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols—specifically lock-out/tag-out—on every task.
- Complete facility tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting per project needs.
- Assist electricians with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Document and communicate shift issues to the Plant Engineer/Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces.
- Support any area of forming production as required.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- High mechanical aptitude with a track record in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging work and accessing technical info.
- Proven problem solver with practical judgment.

Physical requirements and environment
- Standing and walking for extended periods; frequent manual tool use.

- Lift/move up to 20 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Close vision and ability to distinguish shades/colors.
- Consistent noise levels above 85 dB; proximity to moving parts and lift trucks.
- Exposure to paper dust.
- Occasional fumes/vapors or hazardous substances (e.g., degreasers, silicone sprays).
- Higher ambient temperature/humidity during summer months.
