Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction for the organization’s safety function, aligning initiatives with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Lead and develop the safety team while establishing clear priorities and ensuring consistent execution of safety programs.
Oversee the development and continuous improvement of safety policies, procedures, and the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
Analyze safety performance data and trends to guide decision-making, risk reduction strategies, and long-term planning.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to embed safety into operations, capital planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations through governance, audits, and effective oversight, while advising leadership on risks and performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
Proven leadership, team development, and stakeholder influence skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Proficiency with standard business software and tools used for inspections and reporting.
