We’re seeking a Maintenance Specialist to keep production and facility systems operating at designed efficiency and throughput. If you thrive on complex troubleshooting, safety-first execution, and hands-on problem solving, this role is for you.
What you’ll own
- End-to-end equipment care: install, service, and repair production and facilities assets with minimal oversight.
- Safety leadership: follow lockout/tagout and all plant safety protocols without compromise.
- Mechanical expertise: repair/replace pumps, motors, compressors, blowers, dust collectors, fans, heat exchangers, gearboxes, valves, extruders, and related equipment.
- Electrical know-how: troubleshoot circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, solenoids, safety switches, transducers, electro-mechanical relays, solid-state relays, and electrical heating systems.
- Fabrication skills: perform minor welding, metal cutting, and light fabrication.
- Reliability mindset: complete PMs, keep precise work order documentation, and support facilities systems.
- Technical literacy: read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Tool proficiency: safely use shop tools, electrical meters, forklift, and scissor lift.
- Planning & execution: organize daily work, projects, and plant shutdown activities; sustain excellent housekeeping.
Your background
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Electrical or Maintenance trade/vocational certificate, or 4 years of experience in maintenance/electrical work.
- Comfort with common software for email and communication (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook).
Work environment & schedule
- Typical shift: 10:45 pm – 7:00 am.
- Training period on 1st shift: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm.
- Full-time, on-site position where regular and timely attendance is essential to team safety and performance.
- Mandatory overtime as needed; may extend beyond scheduled hours and include evening, night, or weekend rotations.
Physical requirements
- Lift up to 55 lbs safely during an 8-hour shift.
- Climb and work from ladders and other elevated equipment.
- Work effectively in a non-climate-controlled environment.
