Job Title: Entry-Level Brake Press Operator (1st Shift)
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay: $18–$21/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Brake Press Operator to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow a career in metal fabrication. You will be responsible for assisting with the setup and operation of brake press machines to bend and form metal components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor brake press machines to bend, shape, and form metal parts
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, work orders, and measurement tools
- Load and position materials into the machine properly
- Perform quality checks using tape measures, calipers, or gauges
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with basic machine setup and adjustments as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn and be trained on brake press equipment
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
