Manufacturing Cell Team Lead

Manufacturing Cell Team Lead

A hands-on leader for a growing production floor.

Shift, Pay, and Overtime

  • Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – approximately 11:00 PM)
  • Pay: $23.00–$27.00/hour + $1 shift differential
  • Overtime: About 10 hours per week, paid at 1.5x after 40 hours

A Day in the Role

You arrive a few minutes before 2:00 PM, scan the floor, and kick off a quick huddle—safety first, then quality and throughput priorities. As production ramps, you’re on the line coaching operators, swapping tools for a changeover, and partnering with maintenance to chase down a pneumatic hiccup. When the Production Supervisor steps out for a meeting, you steer the crew, track output, and adjust staffing to hit targets. By evening’s end, you’ve helped solve a tricky setup, updated metrics, and recognized teammates who nailed a process improvement.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Lead by example on the floor to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Guide and support operators; act as the go-to working lead.
  • Step in as acting supervisor during absences, meetings, training, or vacations.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to build capability.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues; escalate and resolve quickly.
  • Collaborate with maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or basic electrical concerns.
  • Execute setups and changeovers aligned to the schedule.
  • Track output, downtime, and other KPIs; support continuous improvement and 5S-style organization.
  • Foster a positive, team-first culture focused on operational excellence.
