You arrive on site, step onto a bustling factory floor, and put your diagnostic mind to work. You observe equipment in motion to pinpoint root causes, open up assemblies to access and remove failed components, adjust control instruments and critical mechanisms, and restore production by repairing or replacing parts. When needed, you’ll jump on a lathe, drill press, or grinder to fabricate or repair pieces—and you may weld to complete the fix.
Between calls, you execute preventative maintenance to industry standards, document every action in service reports and applicable management systems, and partner closely with customer teams to carry out maintenance, reliability, and PM procedures. Throughout the day you operate within industrial control systems to analyze complex equipment, troubleshoot electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, and apply deep electrical, mechanical, and fluid power know‑how to resolve issues safely and efficiently.
This role regularly involves standing, walking, using hands/fingers, reaching, climbing/ascending/descending or balancing (including on ladders or lifts), and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces, as well as talking and hearing. Sitting occurs occasionally. You must at times lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Close and color vision are regularly required. You may be occasionally exposed to outdoor weather and risk of electrical shock. Work typically occurs in a loud factory setting where hazardous materials and greasy or slippery surfaces may be present.
