Principal Software Integration Engineer

Caddis Solutions is a Maryland-based engineering company supporting complex engineering programs. We offer direct access to leadership, less bureaucracy, greater individual impact, and highly competitive compensation.

Some of the most interesting computing problems live where software meets hardware. In this Principal Software Integration Engineer role, you’ll test, integrate, and troubleshoot High Performance Computing (HPC) software stacks across complex Linux environments. You’ll have opportunities to follow a problem across the stack and turn a careful diagnosis into more reliable systems.

Where you’ll focus

  • Make the stack work together. Test software integrations and troubleshoot behavior across HPC environments.
  • Support how computing work gets done. Work with HPC system administration, resource management and scheduling, high-performance storage, and monitoring tools.
  • Put automation to work. Use Bash or Python and configuration tools such as Ansible or Salt.
  • Investigate the deeper interactions. Apply disciplined root-cause analysis to issues involving GPUs, high-speed network interconnects, and their interactions with software.

If you enjoy understanding why a system behaves the way it does—and working through the details until it makes sense—this role puts that curiosity to practical use.

This role requires at least 10 years of relevant experience with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a qualifying master’s degree, or 15 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
