Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and professional CDL Class A Driver to join our team for route-based deliveries in Newport, AR. As a driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate deliveries to commercial customers while providing exceptional service and adhering to all DOT and company safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate product deliveries along assigned routes
- Read and interpret invoices, pick tickets, and delivery memos to verify orders
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, fluid levels, etc.) and report maintenance needs
- Assemble, load, and unload customer orders using hand trucks, ramps, or stairs as required
- Place delivered products in designated storage areas per customer request
- Maintain product integrity and avoid damage through careful handling
- Rotate and merchandise product displays, replenish stock, and manage shelf inventory
- Maintain communication with dispatch or supervisor regarding delays, issues, or route changes
- Comply with all DOT, traffic, and safety regulations
- Represent the company with a professional appearance and conduct
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, collect customer payments, and turn in required documentation daily
- Maintain clean and organized vehicle interiors and accurate vehicle logs
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A Arkansas driver's license
Clean driving record (DMV)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repetitively
Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of verifiable route delivery experience
Preferred Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Basic math and documentation skills
- Familiarity with customer service and safety standards
- Ability to use and learn delivery and inventory software
- Excellent relationship-building and time management skills
- Independent thinker with strong problem-solving ability
