What you’ll do

  • Keep commercial heating and cooling systems operating at their best through repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform HVAC troubleshooting and installations, including electrical work, with the right tools and test equipment.
  • Service and maintain boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
  • Partner with the Scheduler to complete assigned work efficiently and on time.
  • Create standout customer experiences—evaluate equipment thoroughly, communicate options honestly, and respect customer choices.
  • Adhere to company procedures and safety regulations; be punctual and respectful of every workplace.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and invest in ongoing skill development.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years’ experience in maintaining equipment.
  • Universal EPA certification and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • KY Journeymen’s License required.
  • Strong communication with coworkers and supervisors on work status and plans.
  • Ability to complete documentation and forms accurately.
  • Proficiency interpreting drawings; follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort using PCs, tablets, and smartphones on the job.
  • Decision-making for minor setups and sequencing.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to MI, IL, OH, KY, IN, and WV.
  • Familiarity with piping, chillers, med gas, and controls.
  • Physical readiness to stand/sit/squat for long periods; move around job sites; lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull/reach/stoop; and work from ladders and lifts.
  • Ability to work in standard construction/plant environments with varying noise and temperature by season.
