Precision Mechanical Assembler – Complex Subassemblies

A day in this role

You start your shift by reviewing assembly layouts and prints. You gather hardware—nuts, bolts, screws, and fabricated parts—and verify form, fit, and function of each piece. With fixtures set, you build subassemblies and complete mechanical units, test performance, record results, and package finished product for shipment.

What you’ll handle

  • Assemble complex mechanical products following established work instructions and processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly layouts to guide each build.
  • Set up fixtures quickly and accurately; perform efficient job changeovers.
  • Verify component form, fit, and function at the part, subassembly, and final assembly level.
  • Maintain counts and inventory accuracy for key parts and hardware.
  • Track production output, scrap, and rework per instructions; document test results and component records with precision.
  • Contribute in a team setting with strong interpersonal skills and a solid work ethic.

What you bring

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent.
  • Comfort with shop math and using a tape measure accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble parts efficiently and correctly.
  • Highly organized approach to work and documentation.

Work environment

Shop-based manufacturing environment with regular interaction across engineering, production, and office teams. The facility is clean and fast paced, supporting customers in manufacturing, medical, and aerospace markets. Expect periods of sitting or standing and some lifting and movement throughout the shift.

Schedule

Recruiting for Shift 1 and Shift 2.

Compensation

Entry level position with compensation starting at $18-$22 per hour.
